A 20-year-old woman was killed Tuesday when her car veered into oncoming traffic on Route 70 in Burlington County and struck a vehicle operated by a teenage student driver from Mount Laurel, state police said.
Elizabeth Hynoski of Toms River, N.J., died at the scene shortly after 10:30 a.m. on westbound Route 70 in Southampton, Trooper Christopher Kay said.
The 16-year-old Lenape Regional High School student and her instructor, Anthony Guerrera, 39, a special-education teacher who coaches boys' tennis and girls' soccer at Lenape, were flown to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton. They were listed in critical but stable condition Tuesday afternoon, state police said.
