Galaxy captain Landon Donovan had a great week, being named MLS player of the week after playing a major role in a pair of impressive wins. He scored twice and added an assist in the 3-2 win at Real Salt Lake last Wednesday and scored a goal and set up another in a 3-0 home win over Vancouver on Saturday night. . . .
