One man band " /> Manchester Orchestra's front man Andy Hull performs as his solo persona Right Away, Great Captain!, performing songs from The Church of the Good Thief, the final installment of his blood-and-vengeance ballad trilogy, at the North Star Bar, 2639 Poplar St., at 7 p.m. Friday. The real game The independent film series known as the Awesome Fest presents the 2012 documentary Doin' It in the Park: Pick-Up Basketball NYC, about the deep-seated culture of playground hoops in the Big Apple. Codirectors Bobbito Garcia and Kevin Couliau traveled by bicycle throughout the five boroughs, visited 180 courts, and talked to greats such as Pee Wee Kirkland, Fly Williams, Smush Parker and Julius Erving. The film screens at Race Street Pier, Race Street and North Columbus Boulevard, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free. Call 215-629-3200.
