The Center for Autism, a nonprofit Philadelphia autism treatment and evaluation center, hired Joel Bregman as medical director. He had been executive director at the Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders and professor of clinical psychiatry at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo.

Widerman & Co., an independent insurance and risk management firm, hired Mark C. Phander as business development manager. Most recently, he was business development manager for Euler Hermes.

Frances E. Jensen was named chair of the Department of Neurology in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, starting Aug. 13. She is a professor of neurology at Harvard Medical School and a senior neurologist at both Brigham and Women's Hospital and Children's Hospital, Boston.

Roska Healthcare Advertising, Montgomeryville, hired David Zaritsky as president. Zaritsky was the managing director of Healthcare Regional Marketing.

Pragmatek Consulting Group, a Minneapolis firm that offers SAP services, management consulting and enterprise performance management, hired Jim Donahue as senior account executive. He was a territory account manager at Pittsburgh-based Vocollect Inc. and manager for supply chain systems at Pep Boys.

Flaster/Greenberg P.C. hired Anne H. Matlack as director of marketing. She was the principal consultant of Thrive L.L.C.

Kathy Hiltner was promoted to assistant vice president from business development officer at Liberty Bell Bank, Evesham.

Valley Green Bank, a community bank in Philadelphia, hired Eric Alber as vice president of commercial lending. He was a self-employed residential/commercial real estate broker and previously served as vice president of commercial lending at St. Edmonds Bank.

Electronic Ink, a Philadelphia design consultancy, hired Chris Britton as a senior designer. He had been a senior designer at True Action, Web designer at QVC, and creative lead at Liquid Hub Inc.

Global sales and marketing consulting firm ZS Associates promoted Chris Wright to managing director in Philadelphia. He previously was a regional managing principal of North America and managing principal of the firm's global pharmaceuticals practice.

The American College, a Bryn Mawr educator of financial services professionals, promoted Sharen L. King to executive director of the Northwestern Mutual Granum Center for Financial Security. King had been director of field vertical growth and director of practice management and field training.
