An Army veteran from Haddon Township has been convicted of manslaughter in the 2008 shooting death of his sister's boyfriend.
Harold Elliot, 38, of Locust Street, was accused of killing Michael Unger, 35, of Glen Birnie, Md., over the Thanksgiving holiday after the two argued about, among other things, the Gulf War.
Elliot said he shot Unger in the chest in self defense after Unger came up to the second-story apartment to use the bathroom. Unger was shot in the chest with a handgun.
