C'MON, DAILY NEWS (July 17): "Beef with baby mama's boyfriend?" Officer Brady may not have died heroically in the line of duty, but show him and his family some respect by printing a headline without all the cliched hip-hop slang. The negative connotations used in your headline do nothing but sensationalize his death as typical, without giving readers the chance to read the story. Grow up, just a little.

I would like an inquiry into why Officer Marc Brady is not getting the same consideration as a police officer as Highway Patrol Officer Brian Lorenzo. I read in the Daily News that he will not receive a formal police burial and my question is, why not? Was he not still a police officer at the time? Both officers died on their way home, regardless of the fact that one was going off duty and the other was off duty. One had a uniform on and riding a police vehicle but the other was riding a bike. What difference does it make — they were both police officers. Will someone please tell me what is the difference in their circumstances?
