Police announced the arrests Thursday of five teenagers in the case of a girl, 12, who was raped this week at a Southwest Philadelphia recreation center.
Investigators had said four teens had been arrested as of Thursday afternoon. Hours later, police confirmed that a fifth boy was in custody. Police said an aunt had brought him to the Special Victims Unit.
The suspects, whose names were not released because of their ages, are 14 and 15, police said. They are charged with rape, simple assault, and other offenses.
