Here's what you need to do to vote in Pa.'s Nov. 6 election now that the state requires a photo ID:
If you have a valid photo ID, bring it with you to the polls on Election Day. Acceptable IDs include a Pennsylvania driver's license, or a photo ID issued by a city, state or the federal government that includes an expiration date. Photo IDs issued by Pennsylvania colleges or assisted-living facilities with an expiration date also work.
If you don't have one, you can get a free one by visiting a PennDOT driver's-license center. To prove who you are, bring a Social Security card, passport or birth certificate, plus two proofs of residency, like a utility bill or tax record.
