Sideshow: McConaughey had the angles covered

Posted: July 28, 2012

Matthew McConaughey tells MensHealth.com his Magic Mike character is a twisted sociopath who has a few strange pastimes.

Joe sports a thong at one point. "The weird thing about a thong is, you forget it's there," says MM. Call him daring, never careless. "Before I went on the set, I tried to check out all the angles, just to make sure I was covered."

Joe also engages in sexual acts with a chicken. "I thought about and worried about that scene for a long time," says MM. "It's a tricky scene." Does MM regret all the nudity, the weird sex in his movies?

"Not really, no."

Yet more on KStew/RoPat

Does a "momentary indiscretion" always include sexual intercourse? That's the semiotic issue at the heart of a report by GossipCop.com which maintains that Kristen Stewart apologized to Robert Pattinson the other day not for sleeping with that other dude, but merely for kissing him in a passionate manner.

Seems RoPat doesn't care if it was just a handshake: Anonymous sources tell People the Brit has moved out of the Los Angeles house he shares with KStew.

French fans boo Madonna

Madonna played an intimate show at Paris' Olympia club on Thursday and planned to show her solidarity with the French people. It was an olive branch in the wake of her media scuffle with politico Marine Le Pen, head of France's far-right National Front. It ended with tears. Well, with boos. Incensed fans shouted "Refund!" when Madge walked out after only 45 minutes.

The death of 'The Killing'

Let this serve as a lesson to you: Here in the States, we like our entertainment snappy. On Friday, AMC announced there will not be a third season of its mood-drenched drama The Killing. The series was essentially canceled for taking far too long to resolve its tagline: "Who killed Rosie Larsen?"

Despite riveting performances by Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman and a very sophisticated cinematic look, the mystery series steadily lost viewers, who felt the pace over two seasons was too slow.
