Philadelphia police on Monday released the names of three men shot to death in separate incidents Thursday and Friday.

Killed by a shotgun blast to the face while sitting in a Nissan sedan in West Philadelphia's Mill Creek section on Thursday night was Rahspe Athy, 33, who lived on Hoopes Street near 50th Street, a few blocks from where he died, police said.

Investigators determined that an argument led to the shooting, but no arrests had been made.

Slain Thursday night in a separate shooting, this one in Frankford, on Kinsey Street near Tackawanna Street, was 20-year-old Wali Patrick of the same block. Police said they were unsure what motivated the killing, but officers arrested a man on gun charges shortly afterward. No charges had been filed late Monday in the homicide.

Killed Friday night in East Mount Airy Friday was 23-year-old Nafis Armstead. Police said Armstead and a 26-year-old man were each shot several times on Sharpnack Street near Musgrave by three men who fled the scene in a van. Armstead, of Hortter Street off Germantown Avenue, about a block and a half from the shooting scene, died at Albert Einstein Medical Center. The second victim of that shooting remained in critical condition.

Police have one suspect in custody and found two guns believed to be used in the shooting, in addition to the van they believe was used as a getaway vehicle, but no murder charges had been filed.
