Philadelphia police on Monday released the names of three men shot to death in separate incidents Thursday and Friday.
Killed by a shotgun blast to the face while sitting in a Nissan sedan in West Philadelphia's Mill Creek section on Thursday night was Rahspe Athy, 33, who lived on Hoopes Street near 50th Street, a few blocks from where he died, police said.
Investigators determined that an argument led to the shooting, but no arrests had been made.
Slain Thursday night in a separate shooting, this one in Frankford, on Kinsey Street near Tackawanna Street, was 20-year-old Wali Patrick of the same block. Police said they were unsure what motivated the killing, but officers arrested a man on gun charges shortly afterward. No charges had been filed late Monday in the homicide.
