Police in Middle Twp., Cape May County, have charged the driver of a car that struck and killed two teen girls last night with vehicular homicide and drunk driving.
The girls, aged 15 and 13, were walking eastbound along the shoulder of Bayshore Road about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday when they were struck by a car driven by Joshua Malmgren, according to police.
The accident occurred in front of the Green Creek Volunteer Fire Company, and just off Route 47, in Cape May Court House.
Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor and Middle Township Police Chief Christopher Leusner said in a statement that police responding to the call found the deceased bodies of the girls on the roadway when the arrived.
