A 21-year-old West Philadelphia boxer was ordered held on $1 million bail at the Delaware County prison in the beating and robbery of a man with muscular dystrophy.

Keenan Smith, accompanied by his attorney, surrendered to police at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, four days after the arrest of an accomplice, Dominic Henderson, 23, of Upper Darby, said Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood.

The pair allegedly entered the Upper Darby apartment of a 37-year-old man, beat him, yanked him out of his wheelchair, dragged him from the kitchen to the living room, and stole his 55-inch TV, X-Box 360, and 35 OxyContin painkillers, Chitwood said. According to various boxing-related websites, Smith fights under the name "Killa" and has a 5-0 record. - Anthony R. Wood
