Backstory: Jose Garces' mobile venture kicked off in March 2011, bouncing through Philly's hot spots to serve mouthwatering tacos at a reasonable price. A replica Guapos truck has since been parked in the new food court at Atlantic City's Revel resort, just a few steps from one of Garces' more prominent brands in Village Whiskey Atlantic City.
No stranger to a good meal, Flyers beat writer and self-proclaimed food snob Frank Seravalli came out of summer hiding to sample Philly's truck scene. Contact him at seravaf@phillynews.com.
