Trial of Temple's Wyatt postponed again

Posted: August 08, 2012

The trial for Temple basketball star Khalif Wyatt was rescheduled for Aug. 21 at 1:30 p.m. in the Atlantic City municipal court.

The original court date was July 12 before it was adjourned twice. The second trial was scheduled for Monday.

Wyatt was charged on June 10 with engaging in prostitution and resisting arrest while in Atlantic City. The senior was one of 28 people charged as part of a two-day prostitution sweep conducted by the city's Special Investigation Unit.

The 6-foot-4 shooting guard will be the Owls' top returning player next season. Wyatt, a Norristown High graduate, averaged 17.1 points and had a team-best 69 steals last season. He was a second-team all-Atlantic Ten selection.

Wyatt was held out of the Owls starting lineup three times for disciplinary reasons.
