Commonwealth Court ruled Wednesday to maintain its injunction on a gas-drilling law while Pennsylvania officials appeal to the state Supreme Court. The law, Act 13, was signed by Gov. Corbett in February. It governs drilling for oil and natural gas in Pennsylvania, especially for the vast gas supplies in the Marcellus Shale region. The Delaware Riverkeeper Network challenged the law and was joined by seven municipalities, including Yardley Borough and Nockamixon Township in Bucks County. They argue that Act 13 provisions overriding local zoning rules are unconstitutional. - Robert Moran
