George Loesch, a senior executive with 28 years of experience at Campbell Soup Co., has been named the new senior vice president of sales of marketing for the Philadelphia Inquirer, Daily News, and philly.com.

Loesch was named VP today by Bob Hall, the CEO and Publisher of Interstate General Media L.L.C., the parent company of the newspapers and website.

"As we looked for someone to take on the important role of enhancing and developing our iconic brands, George impressed me with his many years of exemplary leadership at Campbell's, a globally recognized and highly respected brand," said Hall in a news release. "He will bring a dynamic sales and marketing perspective to our print and online publications and products. "

Loesch is a graduate of Iona College of New Rochelle, N.Y. where he also earned a Masters in Business Administration.

"I am honored to join IGM's new owners," Loesch said, "in working to advance the award-winning print and online publications that represent such high standards for journalism, recognized throughout the media industry, and by their many loyal audiences."
