Philadelphia police today arrested a man wanted for a series of store burglaries in Northeast Philadelphia and Bucks County, authorities said.

An eagle-eyed Seventh District officer saw Daniel Haggard boarding a SEPTA bus about 8 a.m. on the 5200 block of Frankford Avenue and took him into custody, police said.

Inside a bag Haggard was carrying, police found cartons of cigarettes he allegedly stole four hours earlier during a burglary at the CVS on the 9800 block of Bustleton Avenue, police said.

Police said they were in the process of obtaining warrants for Haggard, 44, when he was arrested.

Bensalem police said tipsters identified Haggard as the serial burglar after police released a surveillance video Wednesday showing a man wearing a 'Property of Jesus' T-shirt looting a CVS in the township.

Haggard, who police said is homeless, faces charges of burglarizing six CVS stores and beer stores in Northeast Philadelphia during which cartons of cigarettes were the main haul.
