Reward offer climbs to 118G in officer's death

REWARD SOARS: 118G

THE REWARD for info on the two suspects in the shooting death of Officer Moses Walker Jr. rose to $118,000 Tuesday, making it one of the highest in city history.

The highest reward was $153,000 in the 2007 shooting death of Officer Chuck Cassidy. A $150,000 reward was posted in the 2008 shooting death of Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski, and a $125,000 reward in the 2006 shooting death of Officer Gary Skerski. All were on duty.

Walker was off duty when he was shot just before 6 a.m. Saturday on Cecil B. Moore Avenue near 20th Street, in North Philly, during an apparent robbery. Tipsters in Walker's slaying can call 9-1-1 or the homicide unit at 215-686-3334 or -3335.
