Christopher McGrath was promoted to senior executive vice president/capital markets and acquisitions at Philadelphia-based Switzenbaum & Associates, a real estate investment, development and management company. He had been vice president.

Interstate General Media L.L.C., the parent company of Philadelphia Media Network, publisher of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Daily News, Philadelphia Sports Week and, hired George Loesch as senior vice president of sales and marketing. Loesch served in a variety of leadership positions during his 28-year tenure at Campbell Soup Co., most recently as vice president, emerging channels.

Franklin Square Capital Partners, a Philadelphia sponsor of alternative investment products, hired Mike Gerber as senior vice president of public affairs, strategy and product administration. Gerber will not seek reelection to his seat in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives representing the 148th District and will leave the law firm of Drinker Biddle & Reath L.L.P.

Lower Merion Township hired Thomas J. Walsh as public information officer. Walsh was a Narberth-based freelance writer and editor, and had previously worked at several large newspapers and news websites.

Arcadia University, Glenside, hired Mary McRae as vice president for advancement. She was vice president for university advancement at Rowan University. She was chief operating officer of the Shore Medical Center Foundation in Somers Point.

SEPTA hired Elizabeth Bradford as director of marketing in the transit authority's division of Public and Government Affairs. She was media director at Harmelin Media.

Corporate Synergies Group, a Mount Laurel employee-benefits broker and consulting firm, hired Brian Feeley as senior vice president-marketing. He was senior director, corporate communications and marketing services at Canon Business Solutions.

Wordsworth, a nonprofit organization in Philadelphia and Montgomery County that provides youth mental-health and education services, hired Linda Williams as executive director of special education in Fort Washington. She was deputy chief, Office of Specialized Services for the Philadelphia School District.

Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Newtown, hired Shawn Purdy as a first vice president, portfolio manager in the firm's Wealth Management office. He had been a financial adviser.

Navigate, a Villanova management consulting firm, hired Jerry Goldberg as partner. He had been president, CEO and chairman of the board at DemandPoint Inc. in Englewood, Colo.

Thornton Tomasetti, a Philadelphia company that provides engineering design, investigation and analysis services, promoted Christopher P. Pinto to vice president from senior associate.

Gavin/Solmonese, a Wilmington restructuring and public affairs strategies firm, hired Wayne P. Weitz as senior director in its Philadelphia office. He was a senior managing director at GlassRatner Advisory & Capital Group L.L.C.

Robert Zaleski has been named mortgage loan officer for Fulton Mortgage Co., a division of Fulton Bank of New Jersey. He will be responsible for providing mortgage services in Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem Counties. Zaleski had been a mortgage loan officer at Lincoln Mortgage.

DMW Direct, a Philadelphia direct response advertising agency, hired Greg Marta as director of digital marketing. He had been online marketing director at GS1 US.

Frank D. Cannon has been promoted to director of employee benefit plans at the accounting firm of Isdaner & Co., Bala Cynwyd, from senior manager.

Rachel Ellis was hired as director of marketing at Paul Davis Restoration, Hainesport. Ellis was a customer service representative for a commercial insurance agency.
