SEPTA adds Made in America service

Posted: August 28, 2012

This story has been corrected.

Service will be added on the Broad Street Line and Market-Frankford El on Saturday and Sunday to deal with crowds from the Made in America festival.

Regional Rail trains, meanwhile, will run on regular weekend schedules, with half-hour waits most of the time.

Extra trips will also be provided on some connecting transit services, including the Norristown High Speed Line and trolley routes.

Service on the Broad Street and Market-Frankford lines will run every five minutes before, during and after the performances. Trips will operate with similar frequency on trolley Routes 10, 11, 13, 34 and 36, all of which provide rides to and from Center City.

Trains on the Norristown High Speed Line will run every 20 minutes during peak travel times, including after the shows. The line connects with the El at the 69th Street Transportation Center.

Tickets are still available for the concerts. Museums along the Parkway will remain open for the event.

Bruce Springsteen is also performing this weekend, on Sunday and Monday nights at Citizens Bank Park.
