BBQ and fireworks at Sesame Place
Celebrate Labor Day a day early as Sesame Place presents a barbecue dinner, a parade, and fireworks.
The fun begins Sunday from 5 to 6 p.m. when families can feast on a barbecue dinner at the Big Bird Riverside Pavilion. Sesame Street characters will stop by.
At 8, the Neighborhood Street Party Night Parade begins, followed by a 10-minute fireworks show set to Sesame Street music at 8:20.
Labor Day Barbecue and Fireworks, 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Rd., Langhorne. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday. Barbecue and fireworks are Sunday only. Barbecue is $25, $17 ages 2 to 11. Infants under 2 are free but require a reservation. Park admission ticket is required for meal and fireworks. Garden Railway, Circus Week
Kids can see miniature display houses, palaces, and more from favorite children's stories at Morris Arboretum's Garden Railway Storytime Rail exhibit. The arboretum also continues its encore circus railway presentation for the Circus Week theme. Both exhibits will be on display through Monday.
See houses and buildings made of natural material with characters including Rapunzel from the Brothers Grimm, Peter Pumpkin-Eater, and Sleeping Beauty and her castle. The circus theme will be integrated into the exhibit, and visitors can see miniature lions, tigers, and more animals in vibrant boxcars.
Garden Railway, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Morris Arboretum, 100 E. Northwestern Ave. Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends. Admission: $16, $7 for children 3 to 17 and students (must have ID), $14 age 65 and older, $7 for visitors who enter arboretum without a vehicle or use public transportation, free members and children under 3.
