An investigation into a crash that claimed the life of a New Hampshire man in Atlantic County led to the arrest of his wife on charges of possessing property stolen during at least eight burglaries in the area, police say.

Allison Nasta, 28, was driving a minivan without a license last Tuesday when it crashed in Pleasantville, killing her husband William Nasta, 34, and injuring their two children, authorities said.

The next day, police went to the motel where the family was living in Egg Harbor Township and found a stash of safes, jewelry, electronics and identification belonging to other people, township police said.

Investigators linked the loot to eight residential burglaries in Mullica, Galloway and Linwood and on Monday charged Nasta, of Manchester, N.H., with possession of stolen property and related offenses.

She was held at the Atlantic County jail in lieu of $150,000 cash bail.
