AS STUDENTS return to school Friday, the school district asks that parents and guardians who have issues settle them at school.

Issues can include transferring a student, learning about special education and talking with a parent-outreach coordinator to mediate a problem. If it cannot be resolved at the school, parents and guardians may call ahead and go to Parent and Family Resource Centers: Center City: District headquarters on Broad Street near Spring Garden, 215-400-4180.

Northwest: Leeds Middle School on Mount Pleasant Avenue near Lowber, 215-248-6685.

North: Rivera Center, on 5th Street

near Huntington; 215-291-5680.

South: Childs' Building on Wharton Street near 16th, 215-952- 6300.

Northeast: Chalfont Drive near Knights Road in Northeast Philadelphia, 215-281-3623.

West: McMichael School on Fairmount Avenue near 36th in Mantua, 215-823-2250.
