A Swedesboro man was sentenced to six years in state prison after he pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in a shed in April 2011.
Jason Watson, 22, met the girl through a mutual acquaintance and knew she was a minor when he assaulted her, according to a spokesman for the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.
At the Friday sentencing, Superior Court Judge Walter L. Marshall Jr. said Watson, who has an adult criminal and juvenile delinquency record, must serve at least three years before he is considered for parole. The judge also said he would ask the state prison system to consider anger management counseling for Watson.
