Fri. Pa. boys’ roundup: Hatboro wins in OT

Dante D'Alonzo fired in a rebound with five minutes left in overtime to lift Hatboro-Horsham over visiting Boyertown, 2-1, in a nonleague soccer game on Friday afternoon.

The six-yard rebound came off the shot of Nick Sienkiewicze, who shot from 18 yards out from the right angle. Brian Ehrlich picked up the win with 11 saves.

Boyertown tied the score in the second half on a 25-yard shot by Barry Kabinoss in the 49th minute. Tim Alawler and Jacob Brumman combined for eight saves.

Catholic. Jim Smith recorded a pair of assists and three players scored goals as Archbishop Ryan blanked host Archbishop Carroll, 3-0.

Marcus Otto and Jared Ott combined for the shutout. Angel Luviano, Miguel Rendon, and Michael Usher all scored goals.

Matt Brown scored four minutes into the game, and Archbishop Wood held on to knock off St. Joseph's Prep, 1-0. C.J. Serratore posted the shutout with nine saves.

Matt Lucas and Dave Price each scored twice to lead La Salle past Bishop McDevitt, 6-0. Anthony D'Angelo needed just one save for the Explorers.

Pioneer. Jeff Eichelman scored on a loose ball with nine minutes left and Pope John Paul II held on to edge visiting Upper Perkiomen, 1-0.

Glenn Diener scored off a corner with three seconds left in regulation to draw Methacton to a 1-1 tie at Perkiomen Valley. Brett Davis found the net earlier in the second half for the Vikings.

Nonleague. Henry Farr scored his first career varsity goal as Shipley topped host Malvern Prep, 2-0. The freshman scored on a nice pass from fellow freshman Michael Burns. Chase Cella had the shutout with 13 saves.

Andrew Costa scored the game-winner in the 74th minute to lift Lower Moreland past visiting George School, 4-3. Phil Madden had seven saves for the win.

Sam Blumenthal and Max Meyers combined for an 11-save shutout, and Harriton rolled over visiting Academy Park, 8-0. Jansen Aoyoma, Levin Lawson, and Kyle Taeffke scored twice each for Harriton.

Friends Central jumped out to a quick, 3-0 halftime lead before coasting past visiting Valley Forge, 4-1. Peter Bockarie, Zach Kratchman, and Sam Stein scored for the Phoenix.

Aaron Cohen recorded four saves to pick up the shutout as Friends Select eased to a 5-0 win over visiting Phil-Mont Christian. Ben Holl led the offense with a pair of goals.
