Ellis tallies 4 TDs to power Deptford

Every time Jody Ellis touched the ball, good things happened for Deptford in a 33-0 victory over Cumberland in a West Jersey League Royal Division game.

Ellis carried the ball 10 times and four times it resulted in a touchdown. He finished with 241 yards.

Ellis scored the game's first four touchdowns. He broke scoring runs of 60, 77 and 30 yards in the first half.

Anthony Parsons carried eight times for 76 yards.

Deptford also got a strong defensive effort. Chuckie Butler had seven tackles and a sack and Mario Harris had six tackles.

Kevin Lester had a 16-yard touchdown run in the second half.

Bishop Eustace 26, Woodrow Wilson 6 - Bishop Eustace's Connor Bor ran for two touchdowns and kicked a field goal to lead the Crusaders.

Cameron Lingh had a sack for a Eustace defense that didn't allow a point until the fourth quarter. The Crusaders also scored on a safety by tackling the punter in the end zone. Sean Cirone intercepted a two-point conversion pass.

West Jersey Freedom

Former Penn State star Tony Sacca's debut as head coach of Burlington City was a successful one as the Blue Devils beat Riverside, 55-12.

Sophomores Ryan Daniels and Charles Fryar each had two touchdowns. Vinnie Vasapolli threw for a pair of scores.

West Jersey Diamond

Anthony Robertson carried 13 times for 132 yards including a pair of touchdowns as Penns Grove beat Glassboro, 36-18.

Both of his runs came in the second half as Penns Grove rallied from a 12-6 deficit. Ja'Brail Murray also scored a pair of touchdowns for Penns Grove.

Corey Clement gained 149 yards on 28 carries for Glassboro.

West Jersey Liberty

Jazmir Best rushed for a touchdown and ran a kickoff back 95 yards for a score as Florence beat New Egypt, 43-0.

Jamar Best, Rich Myers and Curtis Thompson each ran for touchdowns and Doug MacArthur returned a blocked kick 65 yards for a score.

Cinnaminson 35, Ewing 7 - Cinnaminson rolled up 422 yards of total offense, including 371 on the ground. It had six runners in double figures.

Tom Donnelly led the way with 160 yards rushing. He scored a pair of touchdowns.

Xavier Wilson began the scoring with a touchdown run and caught a 32-yard scoring pass from Nick Thevanayagan.

West Jersey National

Pennsauken was threatening in the closing minutes, but Triton's Chance Negri recovered a fumble on the 7-yard line. Triton then handed off seven straight times to Josh Woods, who ran out the clock on a 22-14 victory. Wood, the game's offensive star, carried 24 times for 187 yards and two touchdowns.

Triton also scored on a 76-yard interception return by Kris Baylor.

Negri's fumble recovery capped a big defensive night. He had 14 tackles and broke up a pass.
