North Philadelphia's Bryant Jennings scored a 35-second knockout to stay undefeated on Saturday afternoon with a win over Chris Koval at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
The 27-year-old heavyweight (15-0, 7 KOs) scored two quick knockdowns, which prompted the referee to stop the bout. Jennings connected with a left for his first knockdown and followed up with a right hook for the winner.
Philadelphia's Steve Cunningham, 36, made his heavyweight debut with a unanimous decision over Jason Gavern.
In the early rounds, Cunningham (25-4, 12 KOs) used his athleticism from his cruiserweight career to lure in Gavern before utilizing a strong counter attack. As the fight waned on, Cunningham controlled the pace of the bout by visibly wearing down Gavern.
