Montgomery County recorded its first documented case of West Nile virus this year on Monday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health website.
In Pennsylvania this year there have been 18 reported cases of the mosquito-borne illness in humans to date. Of those, there have been one case in Philadelphia, Bucks, and Chester Counties and three cases reported in Delaware County.
Last week in New Jersey, a 77-year-old Burlington County man died from the virus. - Mari A. Schaefer
