2 men arrested in Frankford after police chase

Two men were arrested in the city's Frankford section Monday night after leading police on a vehicle chase from Bensalem, police said.

Around 8 p.m., Bensalem police were making an undercover drug buy near the Parx Casino when the two alleged dealers fled in a red Jeep Cherokee, Chief Inspector Scott Small said.

Police pursued the men south on I-95 into Northeast Philadelphia.

The Jeep was found parked in the 4200 block of Orchard Street, and the men had gone into a house in the 4100 block, Small said.

Because Bensalem police believed one of the men had a gun, Philadelphia police declared a barricade. A SWAT team was able to take the two men into custody.

Detectives were determining Monday night whether they could obtain a search warrant for the house to look for a gun, money, and drugs, Small said.
