Tight end commits to Temple

Posted: September 12, 2012

A.J. Sattinger, a senior at Countryside High School in Clearwater, Fla., made an oral commitment Tuesday to play football at Temple.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound tight end is the Owls' 13th commitment for the recruiting class of 2013. Sattinger is expected to play the H-back position at Temple.

Sattinger chose the Owls over scholarship offers from Ohio, Bowling Green, Western Michigan, Jacksonville State, Coastal Carolina, Gardner-Webb and Georgia State.

Sattinger is known as a punishing blocker in the Cougars' run-oriented offense. He finished last season with 12 receptions for 156 yards and a touchdown. He is regarded as a three-star college prospect by the Scout.com recruiting service. Rivals.com lists him as a two-star prospect.
