Temple receiver rushed to hospital; cause said to be dehydration

Posted: September 15, 2012

A Temple spokesman said that Deon Miller was fine after suffering from dehydration Thursday.

The junior wideout experienced severe muscle cramps following a morning practice. About 11:50 a.m., he exited Edberg-Olson Hall on a stretcher and was rushed to a hospital.

Temple coach Steve Addazio was not made available for comment. As policy, the Owls (1-1) do not discuss injuries or illnesses.

Miller is having trouble recovering from the viral infection he contracted the second week of training camp. A shell of himself, the 6-foot-5, 210-pounder has been ineffective (zero catches this season) while trying to regain strength and stamina.
