Fri. Pa. boys' roundup: George School shuts out Westtown

The Kimelheim family had a big afternoon for the George School on Friday, leading the Cougars to a 2-0 victory at Westtown in a Friends Schools League boys' soccer game.

Noah and Zack Kimelheim, part of a set of triplets on the team, each scored and assisted on the other's goal in the first half. Their brother, Jared, plays fullback.

Aidan Greer made 15 saves for George School.

Trent Schindler had five saves for Westtown, which lost for the first time this season.

Suburban One Continental. Spencer Palermo scored two minutes into the second half and host Central Bucks East held on for a 1-0 victory over Souderton. Ben Marks assisted on the goal. Jacob Nesteruk made five saves for the shutout.

Central Bucks South scored three times in the first half in a 4-1 win at Hatboro-Horsham. Brendan Rennie had a goal and an assist, and Dan McGonogal, Dan Busichio, and Connor Stackhouse also scored.

Suburban One American. Darren Ball and Nick Emmett had a goal and an assist for host Springfield (Montco) in a 3-2 win over Norristown.

Pioneer Athletic Conference. Mike Flynn's unassisted goal 7 minutes, 12 seconds into overtime gave Perkiomen Valley a 2-1 road victory over Owen J. Roberts. Corey Jackson made four saves to record the victory. Nate Smith scored for Owen J. Roberts.

Public League. Garneel Azor and Luiz Camphenin each scored as visiting Central beat Philadelphia Academy Charter, 2-0.

Greg Winter made two saves to record the shutout for the Lancers. Thomas Macolino had six clearances to help the defensive effort for the Lancers.

Catholic League. St. Joseph's Prep scored twice in the first half and went on to a 3-0 win at Bonner-Prendergast.

Colin McGlynn and Zach Morgan each had a goal and an assist for the Hawks. Tolu Ibikunle also scored. Goalkeeper Ryan Sandell made two saves for the shutout and also had an assist.

Led by Tommy Rosenbaum's first career hat trick, Archbishop Wood beat Lansdale Catholic, 6-0. The sophomore forward scored two of his three goals in a two-minute span in the second half.

Dan Trodden added two goals and an assist for the Vikings, and Matt Brown also scored. CJ Serratore and Chris Sugden shared goaltending duties for the Vikings.

Sean Cardamone and Mohamid Gonge each scored twice for Father Judge in a 7-1 home win over Neumann-Goretti. The Crusaders scored five times in the first half. Vontez Hillard, Liam McGee, and Eric Trush scored the other goals.

Nonleague. Sophomore Evan Needs scored three goals as visiting Christian Academy beat King's Christian, 3-1. Matt Crockett had a pair of assists for the Crusaders.
