HOYLAKE, England - Jiyai Shin avoided mistakes in miserable weather conditions Sunday to cruise to a record 9-stroke victory in the Women's British Open that completed an Asian sweep of the four majors.

South Korea's Sun Young Yoo won the Kraft Nabisco, China's Shanshan Feng took the LPGA Championship, and South Korea's Na Yeon Choi won the U.S. Women's Open.

In the 36-hole finish in the wind-delayed tournament, Shin took a 3-shot lead into the final round after shooting a 1-under-par 71 in the morning. During strong wind and heavy showers at Royal Liverpool in the afternoon, she closed with a 73 to finish at 9-under 279.

The 10-time LPGA Tour winner broke the record for margin of victory of 5 set by Karen Stupples in 2004 at Sunningdale.

Champions Tour

KAPOLEI, Hawaii - Willie Wood won the inaugural Hawaii Championship for his second Champions Tour victory in the last three events.

Wood, 51, shot a 6-under 66 for a 202 total and a 1-stroke win over Bill Glasson at Kapolei Golf Course. He also rallied to win the Dick's Sporting Goods Open last month.

European Tour

FIANO, Italy - Spain's Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano won the Italian Open for the second time.
