Jenna Imperatore of Basking Ridge, N.J., won the Zone 2 Championship in Low Amateur/Owner Jumpers on K.E.C. Marissa during the inaugural Devon Fall Classic on Sunday.

Imperatore, 25, captured an eight-horse jump-off from a starting field of 28, finishing with a clear round in 31.196 seconds to edge Joy Slater of Unionville by eight-tenths of a second.

"This is my first time to ride at Devon," said Imperatore, a commercial real estate broker. "I love the stadium and the arena. It means a lot to show here."

Sydney Munro, 16, of Phoenixville won the Pony Jumper Zone 2 championship aboard Hay Jude, finishing with a clear round in 29.240 in a six-horse jump-off.

Hope Batchelor of Chester Springs won the High Adult Amateur Zone 2 championship on Orlando in an eight-horse jump-off in which the top three were separated by less than a fault.

Batchelor finished in 37.628, with Meggin Patterson of Haddonfield second on Noblesse Oblige, hitting the timers in 38.439, and Wendy Chapot Nunn of Neshanic Station, N.J., on Face Value third in 38.531.

"I set up a little going to the vertical," said Chapot Nunn, explaining the split-second difference one decision can make in show jumping. "I think I could have kept galloping, and I think that might have made the difference" between finishing first or third.

Megan Orr of Mount Laurel rode Four's A Charm to victory in the Low Adult Amateur Zone 2 championship over Nina Simons of Ottsville, Bucks County, on Justice.

Rachel Weisel, 17 of Stewartsville, N.J., and Shadow Dancer won the Low Children's Zone 2 championship in a 10-horse jump-off.

"I've had Dancer for 10 years," Weisel said. "He's 18. He's a spitfire, but he's a good boy."

Madeleine Jefferson, 14, of Abington and 2oodles won the High Children's Jumper Zone 2 championship in a two-horse jump-off, defeating Jacqueline Morton on Counterfoil by five-tenths of a second.
