An SUV rammed into a SEPTA Route 15 trolley on Girard Avenue at North Sixth Street early today, derailing the streetcar.
The 32-year-old woman behind the wheel of the SUV was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital in serious condition following the 1:55 a.m. collision, officials said. Police said she would be charged with DUI.
They reportedly also were looking for two men who jumped out of the SUV and ran away after the crash.
The trolley driver was treated for minor injuries, SEPTA said.
