TTHE TEEN accused of firing a gun into a crowded subway car, injuring two other teens, has been charged as an adult, the District Attorney's Office said Friday.

Darryl Lanier, 15, was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, burglary, conspiracy, criminal trespass and gun offenses in connection with Wednesday's attack on the Broad Street Line in North Philadelphia.

He was arraigned Friday afternoon and jailed on $2 million bail. His preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 5.

A 17-year-old was shot in the arm, and a 14-year-old was shot in the leg. Both were taken to Temple University Hospital, where the younger teen remained in critical condition on Friday.

The southbound subway was packed with students on their way home from school and other commuters when arguments and fights erupted about 2 p.m.

When the train pulled in to the Susquehanna-Dauphin station, surveillance video shows, three boys got off the car and walked down the platform to the next open subway door. One brandished a gun and blasted it into the crammed car before all three sprinted away. The incident sparked an immediate panic.

Investigators said the shooting resulted from an earlier fight, but haven't released details.
