A 23-year-old man was killed and another man was injured in a shooting Wednesday afternoon in West Philadelphia, police said. Gunfire erupted around 3 in the area of Cobbs Creek Parkway and Catharine Street, police said. The man who was killed had been shot multiple times and was transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead at 3:33.
