Man shot dead in Frankford, another stabbed

A 52-year-old man was fatally shot last night on the 5200 block of Saul Street in Frankford.

The victim was found by responding officers laying semi-conscious on the pavement with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest and legs. The man, who's identity has not yet been released by authorities, was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he was taken into surgery immediately.

At 3:57 a.m. the man was pronounced dead.

The shooter fled the scene of the crime and as of now no arrests have been made as police still search for suspects.

A 23-year-old man is in critical condition at Temple University Hospital after a stabbing on the 2200 block of N. 17 Street in North Philadelphia.

At approximately 1:11 a.m. this morning the victim flagged down police and reported his injuries. Officers on the scene observed the man noticeably bleeding from his chest and left side, and he was transported to the hospital for treatment immediately.

The victim has been unable to be interviewed by authorities due to his condition.

Police are seeking a suspect described only as a prior offender.
