Hunt showed his continuing development Saturday. He connected on 9 of 13 throws for 242 yards and four touchdowns as the visiting Red Raiders buried Unionville, 42-0, in a Ches-Mont League cross-conference matchup.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound senior spread the ball among five receivers.
"He's been good at looking out for everyone," wideout Chris Jones said.
Hunt was coming off a five-touchdown effort in a 35-34, last-second loss to National Conference rival Downingtown East.
"He's a special kid," Coatesville coach Matt Ortega said. "He's a heck of an athlete. I'm not surprised at all by how well he's playing."
The No. 9-ranked Red Raiders (3-2) immediately put the Indians (3-2) on their heels, with Daquan Worley returning the opening kickoff 99 yards for the first of six scores.
Soon after, Dre Boggs, getting blocking support from fellow wideout Jay Stocker, turned a left-wide swing pass into an 11-yard TD.
Late in the first quarter, after an interception at the Unionville 46 by Isaiah Flamer, Hunt burrowed into the end zone, behind 6-1, 300-pound center Andrew Baker, for a 1-yard TD.
With just over a minute remaining before intermission, Hunt delivered a 15-yard strike to Stocker, who was planted in the back of the end zone. Jon Bollenbach's extra point made it 28-0.
Coatesville's other taut loss came against defending Inter-Ac League champ Malvern Prep, by 19-14.
"We broke it down the other day," Hunt said. "We were two plays away from coming into this game with a 4-0 record. I still look at us as one of the top teams in the state."
