Sat. S.J. boys' and girls' roundup: Tiernan's hat trick propels Eastern

Madison Tiernan scored a hat trick as Eastern improved to 9-0 with a 6-0 victory over Egg Harbor Township on Saturday in a nonleague girls' soccer game.

Eastern goaltender Imani Taylor recorded three saves for the shutout.

Burlington County. Carolyn Eckerle scored the decisive goal with a little less than seven minutes remaining as Holy Cross downed Bordentown, 4-3. Erica Wallace added a pair of goals for Holy Cross. Alexis McTamney recorded a hat trick for Bordentown.

Ashley Brunner scored twice as New Egypt defeated Riverside, 5-1. Yasmin Vasquez scored the lone goal for Riverside.

Emily Cohen scored the only goal of the game in the first half, propelling Northern Burlington to a 1-0 victory over Delran. Goaltender Emily Schukraft stopped seven Delran shots in the shutout.

Moorestown allowed just one shot on net, and Marie McCool and Ani Nissen supplied the offense as Moorestown defeated Cinnaminson, 2-0. Carly Blessing recorded the shutout for the Quakers, stopping the one shot she faced. Jamie Campbell stopped 10 shots for Cinnaminson.

Olympic. Megan Leach and Brianna McGrath scored goals in the second half as Winslow Township rallied for a 2-1 victory over Seneca.

Seneca's only goal came from Lauren Bogartus.

Boys' Soccer

Brandon Illigan supplied all the offense Cherokee would need, leading the Chiefs to a 2-0 win over Kingsway.

Anthony Cutillo made seven saves in the shutout.

Jimmy Amorebella stopped eight shots for Kingsway.

Burlington County. New Egypt's Travis Ward connected for two goals as the Warriors cruised to a 4-0 victory over Riverside. Ward leads New Egypt with 12 goals.

Bordentown scored twice in the second half in a 2-0 shutout of Holy Cross. Brandon Hudik scored six minutes into the second half, and Andrew Cary scored 14 minutes later on a header.

Mike Kassak tallied a pair of goals in Moorestown's 3-0 win over Cinnaminson. Gerald Lamina scored the other goal for the Quakers.

Field Hockey

Jillian Caputo stopped six of the seven shots she faced as Haddon Township downed Paul VI, 3-1, in a nonleague game.

Kim Flacco scored a goal and tallied an assist for Haddon Township. Megan Conway and Paige Landgraf also added goals.

Meredith Stocklin made 18 saves in the loss for Paul VI.

In other nonleague action, four players tallied goals for Washington Township in a 4-2 victory over Kingsway.

Devin Muracco, Shea McGee, Jessie Hughes, and Kristin Buoni scored for the Minutemaids, who scored three of their four goals in the first half.
