A 32-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition Sunday night after being stabbed multiple times by an assailant in the city's Kensington section, police said.
The attack occurred shortly after 7 p.m. in the 200 block of East Wishart Street, said Officer Christine O'Brien, a department spokeswoman. Police did not release the name of the victim, who was admitted to Temple University Hospital.
Investigators said the suspect was a bald white male, with a stocky build, wearing black pants and a black hooded sweatshirt.
