Two men arraigned in ’11 deaths of Camden pair

Posted: October 02, 2012

Two Camden men were arraigned Monday on murder charges in a double slaying in the city last year, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said.

Juan Law, 19, and Antoine Jones, 20, were being held on $1 million bail each in the Camden County Jail. A fingerprint from each suspect was recovered from the 2001 Jetta in which Tarik Ali and Tara Ryan were found fatally shot on Nov. 11, 2011, the Prosecutor's Office said.

Ryan, 39, of Woodbury, was shot twice in the head as she drove the Jetta around 6:45 p.m. Ali, 37, who had lived in Maple Shade, Mount Holly, and Trenton, was shot in the back of the head. The Jetta was found crashed into a parked pickup truck near South 30th and Berkley Streets.

Witnesses said Jones went looking for Ali in Trenton shortly before the shooting, and Jones bragged that he killed "Tiki," court records showed. Records also showed phone calls among the three men shortly before the shooting.    - Darran Simon
