Unionville coach reaches milestone

Goals from two players helped coach Joe Ratasiewicz record his 100th career win as Unionville blanked host Great Valley, 2-0, on Monday in a Chest-Mont League girls' soccer game.

In his eight years as head coach, Ratasiewicz has a 100-48-9 record.

Caroline Miller scored for the Indians and assisted on Hannah Grandell's goal. Adrianna Weber posted the shutout with six saves.

In other Ches-Mont action, West Chester Henderson scored once in each half to knock off Kennett, 2-0. Junior forward Mary Martin finished a nice pass from Sara Laudermilch in the first half. Morgan Gallagher sealed the win with her second-half goal.

Catholic. Seven goal scorers and three goal keepers helped Archbishop Ryan cruise at Bishop McDevitt, 8-0. Scarlett Walsh scored a pair of goals with one assist and Jazmine Gonzalez started in net.

Aubree Brown's two goals and one assist helped Archbishop Wood ease past visiting Cardinal O'Hara, 4-0.

Biff Jones scored three times, including two in the first half, as St. Hubert raced past host Hallahan, 6-1. Kerri Mattock chipped in with one goal and one assist.

Becky McAllister scored once and added an assist to help Conwell-Egan blank visiting Neumann-Goretti, 4-0.

Public. Alexis Cullinan scored twice and Danielle Delaney added two more as Masterman blanked Frankford, 4-0.

Taylor McGraph received a pass from the left side and finished it for a goal as Rush rallied to edge visiting Philadelphia Academy Charter, 1-0. Rush recorded just four shots, but Kayla Keller had 26 saves for the shutout.

Alyssa Winner scored twice in the second half en route to three goals as Science Leadership Academy dropped visiting Washington, 4-1.

Nonleague. Three goal scorers helped Pope John Paul II knock off visiting Pottsgrove, 3-2. Molly McKeon, Katherine Roth, and Lilly Walls scored for the Golden Panthers.

Field Hockey

Sacred Heart scored three times in the second half to rally itself past host St. Basil, 3-2, in a nonleague game. Maura Swanick led the way with two goals and Renee Rosenblum added another. Maggie Riley chipped in with an assist.

Catholic Academies. Meghan Murphy's hat trick and Amelia Iacobucci's two goals helped Villa Maria knock off Mount St. Joseph, 6-0. Murphy, a senior midfielder, also added an assist.

Pioneer. Emma Christmas scored late in the first half to start Owen J. Robert's 3-0 win at Boyertown. Lauren Schweppe scored a pair of second-half goals in a 2 minute span.

Sami Haaf's early second-half goal provided the difference in Spring-Ford's 2-1 win at Perkiomen Valley. Haaf was assisted by Gabby Major, who had two assists.

Catholic. Junior Marissa Cicione scored a game-high five goals as Cardinal O'Hara easily rolled over visiting Bonner-Prendergast, 9-0.
