Video: Man beaten, robbed in frozen food aisle of Pathmark

A surveillance video shows three men and a woman as part of a group that beat and robbed a man shopping inside a Northeast Philadelphia Pathmark, police said.

The incident occurred at 9:55 p.m. Monday at the store on Franklin Mills Boulevard.

Store surveillance video shows the suspects arriving in a small hatchback car, possibly a Chevrolet Aveo.

The suspects entered and laughed as they made their way through the store. They walked down the frozen food aisle where a 47-year-old man was peering into a freezer and pushing a shopping cart.

The group appeared to walk away, but suddenly turned back toward the shopper. They surounded him as he he tried to create distance with his shopping cart.  It appeared that words were possibly exchanged.

One of the suspects then struck the shopper with a bottle as others joined the assault. The shopper was robbed of $100 from a money clip in the process, police said.

The suspects walked hurriedly to the store exit. They ran once they entered the parking lot.

The suspects are described as:

-Hispanic male, about age 20-years-old, with medium complexion, about 5'8", wearing earrings, a nose ring, baseball hat, blue jacket, t-shirt and tan shorts.

-Hispanic Male, about 20-years-old, about 6', and wearing glasses, goatee, red long-sleeved shirt, and tan pants.

-Hispanic or Asian male, about 5'6" with stocky build and wearing a blue track suit.

-Hispanic Female, with dark hair and wearing a mid-length red coat and jeans.
