State police have released a composite sketch of a suspect in the Chester County home invasion during which a local bankruptcy lawyer was shot wounded.

Fred P. Barakat, 63, was shot after three men allegedly barged into his secluded Pennsbury Township house just before 6:20 p.m. on Sept 24.

He was treated at Crozer Chester Medical Center and later released.

Police said the home invasion was not considered a random act.

Two of the men were believed to be wearing masks. Barakat described the third as a 6-foot-tall white man in his 30s with short blond hair. All fled in a white or cream-colored passenger car, Trooper Corey Monthei said.

Originally the car was described as a Mitsubishi Diamante. Monthei said they are no longer confident in that first description.

Barakat, a consumer bankruptcy lawyer with offices in Chadds Ford and Wilmington, has practiced in the area for 35 years, according to his website.

Anyone with information is asked to call State Police in Avondale at 610-268-2022.
