The straw purchaser of the gun that killed a Plymouth Township police officer last month has been arrested.

Details are expected to be released at a 10:30 a.m. news conference held by Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman.

Officer Bradley Fox was shot and killed Sept. 13, while searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run crash. His K-9 partner Nick was wounded. The suspect, 44-year-old Andrew Charles Thomas, committed suicide at at the end of Ernest Station Road, close to the Schuylkill River Trail, after killing Fox.

Fox first pursued in a patrol car after the stolen Infiniti Thomas was driving struck a car near a traffic accident on East Ridge Pike. When Thomas abandoned the vehicle, Fox and his canine gave chase on foot.

Hundreds of mourners - including a hundred state troopers, a large continent of Philadelphia police, and Mayor Nutter - attended services for Fox.

His pregnant wife Lynsay spoke at the funeral, calling him "my one and only." Their daughter, Kadence, was then 5 months old.
