Freshman Matt Fell scored on his first varsity touch and added another goal as Haddonfield blanked host Overbrook, 8-0. Luke Pease notched a hat trick for the Bulldogs.
Goalie Luis Caraballo made 14 stops to earn a shutout as Lindenwold downed visiting Woodbury, 2-0.
Haddon Heights sophomore Jesse Weick scored twice in the first half of a 3-0 home win over West Deptford. Jon Weaver had five saves as the Garnets improved to 10-0-1 in the conference.
Emre Kasik scored in the second half to lift Sterling to a 1-0 win at Collingswood.
Tri-County. Sophomore Gavin Bright scored both goals to give host Clearview a 2-1 triumph over Triton.
Five players tallied goals as Williamstown rolled, 5-0, at Highland. Joey Fiore, Kyle Grim, and Ismail Kaya each had a goal and an assist in the win.
Cumberland scored four times in the first half on the way to a 6-2 win at Glassboro. Goalkeeper Brandon Bischer made six saves for the Colts.
Cape-Atlantic. Akwasi Adu brought his season goal total to 20 with two scores, moving visiting Atlantic City past Oakcrest, 4-0. Adu added an assist in the first half. Juan Elizalee was strong in goal, making five stops.
Matt McCormick made eight saves as Absegami downed host Middle Township, 2-1. Osbert Guzman and Payne Vazquez scored for the Braves.
Wrestling
Mike Ahern has been approved by the Haddon Heights Board of Education as the head wrestling coach. Ahern replaces Chris Ormsby.
Ahern brings a pedigree to Haddon Heights. He won three consecutive individual Region 7 titles from 1987-1989, while wrestling for Paul VI. He wrestled in college at Elizabethtown, going 122-20 in his time there. His 122 wins are a school record.
Ahern last coached at Sterling in 2009. He has a career coaching record of 95-80.
