A 23-year-old man was hospitalized late Wednesday night after striking 21 vehicles on a narrow city street in Francisville, apparently at a high rate of speed, police said.
The man was speeding down Poplar Street, at 20th Street, about 11:20 p.m. when his 2005 Chrysler 300 began striking the vehicles, police said.
All the cars were unoccupied and no one was injured other than the driver, whose identity has not yet been released.
Police said they did not know what caused the driver to lose control, but they do not suspect alcohol or medical issues played a role. Speed might have been a factor.
