The talents of District 1's top two running backs will be on display when Central Bucks South and Pennridge meet Friday night in Perkasie.
For the unbeaten Titans, sophomore Josh Adams has carried 125 times for 1,183 yards and 21 touchdowns. Pennridge's Mike Class, a speedy and shifty junior, has totaled 1,249 yards and 16 TDs on 142 attempts.
The Suburban One League Continental Conference matchup, set for 7 p.m. at Poppy Yoder Field, could turn into a wild, back-and-forth affair.
No. 4-ranked C.B. South, which last week rallied for a 36-29 triumph over four-time defending league champ North Penn, is averaging 45.2 points. Pennridge is scoring at a 33.8-point clip.
Other offensive weapons for the Titans (6-0 overall, 3-0 conference) are quarterback John Pileggi and wideouts Paul Weeks, Cale Mosher, and Steve Veal.
The 5-foot-9, 173-pound Pileggi has hit on 72 of 92 passes for 1,016 yards and 16 touchdowns. Weeks, Mosher, and Veal have combined for 947 receiving yards and 11 TDs.
Pennridge (5-1, 2-0) also can turn to 6-2, 225-pound fullback MacKenzie Crawford and QB Alex Krivda, who has completed 29 of 60 throws for 468 yards and seven scores. Wingback Kyle Bigam has nine catches for 257 yards and five TDs.
The Titans defense is led by tackle Tyler Paradysz, end Mike McDermott, linebacker Jon Mullin (47 tackles), and strong safety Bobby Mallon.
The headliners for the Rams' defense include tackle Mike Supp, end John Dubyk, safety/inside linebacker Jeremy Xander (31 tackles), and cornerback John Kim.
In what should be a track meet, with defense taking a backseat, look for the visitors to keep their unblemished record.

Frankford (4-2 overall, 3-0 Public AAAA Gold) at Central (4-1, 2-1), 3 p.m. The Pioneers are prepping for a run at their first Public League title since 2006.

Wissahickon (4-2, 2-1 Suburban One American) at Cheltenham (4-2, 2-1), 7. Dan Murphy, with 620 rushing yards and six scores, is the Trojans' catalyst on offense.
Pick: Wissahickon, 20-14.
Penn Charter (3-1, 0-0 Inter-Ac) at Episcopal Academy (5-0, 0-0), 7. Adam Strouss and the Churchmen have been one of the season's biggest surprises.
Pick: Episcopal, 14-7.
West Chester Henderson (5-1, 2-1 Ches-Mont National) at West Chester Rustin (5-1, 2-1 Ches-Mont American), 7. The Golden Knights outlasted Henderson, 30-28, last year.
Pick: Henderson, 30-13.
Cardinal O'Hara (4-2, 0-1 Catholic AAA) vs. Roman Catholic (3-2, 1-1 Catholic AAAA), at Northeast, 1. The Cahillites' Dimetri Kelly, relatively quiet of late, is due for a breakout performance.

Germantown Academy (3-1, 0-0 Inter-Ac) at Malvern Prep (3-2, 0-0), 2. Behind QB Hayes Nolte, the Patriots will try to avenge last year's 48-0 drubbing.
Pick: Malvern, 34-7.
Methacton (2-4, 2-3 Pioneer) at Spring-Ford (5-1, 3-1), 2. Spring-Ford's Yousef Lundi, with 462 yards and six TDs, has been a bruising running back.
Pick: S-F, 42-7.
Father Judge (2-3, 0-1 Catholic AAAA) vs. Archbishop Ryan (3-3, 0-2), at Northeast, 7. The Northeast Philly neighbors renew their hard-fought rivalry.
Pick: Judge, 28-20.
