DEAR HARRY: I believe it will help to know a little of my history. My father served in France during World War II. I served in Korea, as did my two brothers. My son served in Vietnam and was wounded. My son died early this year in a veterans' home. He had a "bank" account there with quite a lot of money. Now, I'm having trouble getting the money from that account. I am the appointed administrator of his estate, and I was told that I have to be bonded in order to get the money. I was shocked when they told me this. No matter who I spoke to, I was referred to the guy who insisted on this. What's going on? I showed this man (I think he's a lawyer) all my family's history as well as the official stuff from the city regarding the estate. Help!
